Dress and Shoes, Gucci POW! POW! (If you have ever seen the movie Stepbrothers…lol)

I absolutely LOVE Diane Von Furstenberg. Her choices of prints and style of dresses is truly iconic, beautiful, versatile (day and/or night). Her clothes are made for the confident woman; the woman who isn’t afraid to be bold in color and subtle in sex appeal. It’s for the sophisticated woman who wants to be able to throw on a dress and look like it took her hours to put her look together!

Diane, if you are reading this (which I highly doubt lol) thank you for your wonderful looks! If I could buy your entire line, I would!

I recently purchased this beautiful ruffled cardigan from Anthropologie.com. It’s so comfy with hook and eye closures. This would be fab with a strapless black dress and pumps with some accessories, maybe from pookie and sebastian? :)

I love a really pretty necklace or big indian like earrings. They are perfect to have in your stash in case you ever need to spice up an outfit. Accessories can make an ordinary dress or denim look pop!

Pookie and Sebastian is a cute boutique that I love to go to when shopping for accessories. The store I frequently visit is on 541 Third Ave, right near Midtown.

Here are some of their accessories from their website at www.pookieandsebastian.com

Charm Filigree Double Chain Necklace: $68

Mesh Link Bracelet : $30

Chandelier Tear Drop Earrings: $35

We all know that the Kardashians are really famous for nothing. Well, let me correct that, I believe that the Kardashians for famous for nothing… Kim came out with a sex tape, they got a reality tv show and now get paid for make club appearances, appear on commercials, etc.

Although I respect their business swagger, I am not really happy with the fact that out society loves people who don’t do a thing… I’m not even going to start getting into that…

Anyway, Kim Kardashian is releasing her new fragrance in February called KIM KARDASHIAN and will be available only in Sephora. I am interested in how it smells and so when it comes out I will check it out but buying it…. not sure about that yet :)

Check out her ad campaign and fragrance bottle below:

I can’t front, I do like the perfume bottle :)

Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Denim Platforms…arent they just beautfiul!?!

There are certain websites I always visit and Brownsista.com happens to be one of them. The topics and posts are always interesting to me; either entertaining, revealing, silly, cute and serious, I always take away something from my brown sista’s posts.

I read a post yesterday on her website about V Magazine coming out with an issue that shows women who are a bit bigger than the usually size 0 models shown on every magazine… and I thought to myself… I so needed to see this.

To some, it might be offensive but the fact of the matter is that most women are not a size 0 and to see this day in and day out on every magazine we pick up, on a subconscious level, screws us up.

I think that most women are insecure on some level so when every man in America sees these “perfectly sized, and photoshopped to death cuties” I don’t think we can help but to look at ourselves and compare.

I’ma keep it real, I do  it all the time although I may not voice it, I am always trying something different to up my appearance but it gets tiring after a while…

Some people might say well it’s not okay to be fat, don’t show this… I dont think the women shown in this magazine are saying its okay to be fat. To me their saying, its okay to be different.

So V Magazine, I am so happy that you are coming out with this issue cause women like me need to see that its okay to be a size 8, 10 or 12 and be actually happy with what God gave us.

I just found out that one of my good friends was just accepted to Mercy College and will be obtaining her Master’s of Science in Organizational Leadership!

Just wanted to tell you sista that I am so proud of you; for never giving up on hope; for always pushing and believing even when your surrounds said you couldnt make it, couldnt finish, give up. You are such an  inspiration to me. I always wonder how have you been able to go through what youve been through and still be the loving, funny person that you are?

God is good. And I cannot wait for your graduation…

Love you!
